The EPFL Rocket Team is recruiting : Management !

After the Avionics, it is the management subsystems that are in the spotlight this week. The management is composed of Communication and Sponsoring.

What is communication?


The objective of this subsystem is to get the team talked about. Let it be known by as many people as possible in order to facilitate the search for sponsors and the recruitment, which allows the project to grow and aim higher!

Communication involves creating content to share on our various social networks (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Youtube…) followed by an international community. It also involves maintaining and improving our website. 
The EPFL Rocket Team participates and organizes several events where it can present its innovations and achievements. For example, we participate in the STIL – Salon des Technologies et l’Innovation de Lausanne, the Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) Open Days, the Associations Week, the Space Days with EPFL Space Center – e Space, as well as various launches in Switzerland… (Feel free to drop by to see us! 😉) We are organizing a “Reveal” at the end of the year, for example, to present to interested people what we have achieved over the past year.

Joining this subsystem can be a good idea to start getting involved in the project without having any technical knowledge! It is also a good experience and an opportunity to develop your teamwork and leadership skills.

We are looking for people who speak French and English fluently, who master the Adobe suite and Microsoft Office, as well as WordPress and social networks and who have knowledge of video editing. But the most important thing is to be motivated!

What is sponsoring?

Now that you know the communication subsystem, let me introduce you to sponsoring!

As the EPFL Rocket Team seeks to carry out increasingly complex and ambitious projects, more and more resources are needed.

We find these resources by asking companies to sponsor us. That is, they provide us with a service, in-kind donations or money in exchange for visibility on our social networks and at events in which we participate.

In general, these companies do not come to us on their own, it is the role of the sponsoring team to find them according to the needs of the team and the project.

The sponsorship team is also responsible, once the companies have been found, for ensuring that we meet our commitments.

Joining this subsystem can be a good idea to start getting involved in the project without having any technical knowledge! It is also a very good experience and the source of interesting meetings within companies.

We are looking for people who speak fluent French and English, master the Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office, as well as WordPress and social networks. But the most important thing is to be motivated!
